Head Coach Paige McMenemy

Paige McMenemy enters her second season as Head Coach of the Tiffin University softball program in 2022-23.

Overall the Dragons finished 22-28 in her debut season, 11-11 in GMAC play. Five players landed All GMAC honors, including First Team selection Maddie Woods and Elite 25 winner Sarah Klein.

Prior to coming to Tiffin, McMenemy served as Assistant Coach at the University of Toledo since 2019, primarily working with the pitchers. While with the Rockets, McMenemy helped the team win its first Mid-American Conference Tournament title in program history. McMenemy coached Erin Hunt to a spot on the MAC All-Tournament Team and the tournament’s Most Valuable Player.

McMenemy is a 2018 graduate of Ashland University and split her collegiate playing career between Mid-American Conference member Akron and Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference member Ashland.

McMenemy's coaching history includes a combined six years of private pitching and hitting instruction, along with five years as a head travel softball coach. Most recently (May 2018), McMenemy worked on the softball staff at Bo Jackson's Elite Sports in Hilliard, Ohio, where she was a camp instructor.

As a player, McMenemy spent the 2015 and 2016 seasons with the Zips and the 2017 and 2018 seasons with the Eagles. In four years, McMenemy appeared in 91 games (46 starts), tossing 351.1 innings for a 3.99 ERA and 203 strikeouts. McMenemy collected Second Team All-GLIAC honors in her junior season, and her 39 mound appearances are tied for the third-most in Ashland history. 

A native of Westerville, Ohio, McMenemy earned a bachelor's degree in science education from Ashland, majoring in middle-grade education with minors in science and math.


Assistant Coach Megan McMenemy

Megan McMenemy enters her first season as Assistant Coach for the Tiffin University softball program in 2022-23.

Megan has coached with various youth organizations over the last nine years. She served most recently as Associate Head Coach for the Ohio Bombers after serving four years as Head Coach with Bo Jackson Elite and Ohio Classics. She was also an assistant coach for four years with Central Ohio Ice, helping to develop softball skills with girls aged 8-18. She also worked with Bally Sports Group as a Youth Sports Coach.

Megan played four seasons for the Ohio State Buckeyes, making 49 starts in 82 total appearances. She was an OSU Scholar-Athlete and Academic All-Big Ten honoree three times in her career. During her career in Columbus, she hit .215 while striking out only 27 times in 144 plate appearances. She set career bests in every major offensive statistical category during her senior year, including a batting average of .263, 11 RBI, and five extra-base hits. Her career defensive metrics include a .980 fielding percentage, 27 assists, and only three errors. After playing for the Buckeyes, she finished her playing career with one season at Ohio University, where she earned Second Team All-MAC honors while hitting starting 48 games and hitting .309 with 5 home runs and 20 RBI.

Prior to arriving at Ohio State, McMenemy was a four-year starter at Westerville Central and was named captain for her sophomore, junior, and senior seasons. McMenemy set Westerville Central's school records for hits, home runs, RBI, runs scored, and stolen bases during her four years. During her junior year, McMenemy hit .547 with eight home runs, 27 RBI, 30 extra-base hits, and ended the year with a 1.081 slugging percentage. She was selected to the All-Ohio First-Team after both her junior and senior years, was named the Columbus Dispatch Metro Player of the year in 2016, Ohio Capital Conference Player of the Year, and was selected to the Ohio All-Star team that competed against the USA Jr. National Team in 2015.

Megan, who also serves as Tiffin's Coordinator of Outside Vendors, is an OSU graduate with a bachelor's degree in health and rehabilitation sciences. She holds a master's degree in recreation and sport sciences from Ohio University.


Volunteer Assistant Sarah Klein

Sarah Klein enters her first season as Volunteer Assistant Coach for the Tiffin University softball program in 2022-23.

Klein was a four-year varsity pitcher for TU and was named the GMAC Elite 25 recipient for softball in 2022, landing the top academic honor in the conference. Klein was a Second Team All GMAC selection in 2019 and finished her career ranked fourth in TU's Division II record book in wins and complete games and is 5th in strikeouts. She was also

Klein, who also serves as a Graduate Assistant to the Athletic Department, is a TU graduate with a bachelor's degree in Criminalistics. She was also named Tiffin University's Scholar Athlete of the Year in 2022.
